Every city, county, and state has different tax laws. We know some studios embed the taxes into their prices while others would like to list the taxes as line items for the clients to see.

You can add taxes to any type of charge in the dashboard, and it will be clearly presented to the client.

Note: To use taxes, you must have locations enabled.

Step 1

Go to Tools > Location

Step 2

Click the 3 dots and "Edit Location"

Step 3

Click "Add a New Tax"

Step 4

Enter all applicable fields

  1. Name the tax so you can easily find it

  2. Choose State or Local from the "Tax Kind" drop-down

  3. Choose % or $ from the Value

  4. Enter the amount

  5. You can have the tax apply to everything or specific content

    1. Note: Retail items are called "Product" in the drop-down

  6. Tip: To create different tax amounts for different items, simply create multiple taxes

  7. Click "Create"

Step 5

Click "Save Location"

Note: Taxes will show up in your "Revenue" report for auditing and reconcilation

Step 6

Clients will see the tax as a line item at checkout (you will also see this in the dash if checking out a client)
