What are Free Trials and Introductory Offers?

Free trials and introductory offers are a great way to get clients in the door and have them test out your classes before committing! You can add free trials and introductory offers to Packages or Subscriptions. You can customize the offer to any discount and length of time. After the trial period has ended, clients will renew at full price.

How do I create a Free Trial or Introductory Offer?

  1. To create a free trial/introductory offer, you can either edit an existing membership or add an introductory offer to a new membership. Click here for more information on how to create or edit a subscription and click here for more information on how to credit or edit a package.

  2. Once you are in the membership create/edit form, you will see the option to Add an Introductory Offer on the right side menu. Toggle this on to set up your introductory offer.

  3. Fill out the fields to set up your introductory offer:
    a) Kind. This can be either Free Trial for 100% off or a Discounted Price.
    b) Trial Duration. If you chose Free Trial, you can determine the number of days that the client should be able to use the membership before it auto-renews at full price. If you chose a Discounted Price, the introductory offer will auto-renew at full price after the set renewal period for the membership.
    c) Redeemable from and Redeemable until. These dates are optional. This is when the introductory offer will be shown to clients. Leave Redeemable from empty if the introductory offer should start immediately. Leave Redeemable until empty if the introductory offer should run indefinitely.

    Example:
-a package is $500 and the intro offer is set for $100 off redeemable from May 1 to May 31.
-If a new client purchases the package on April 30, the price is $500.
-If a new client purchases the package on May 15, the price is $400.
-If a new client purchases the package on June 1, the price is $500.
    d) Who can Redeem this Trial? Choose between the three options in the form:

    e) Redeemable again after days of inactivity. Are clients able to redeem the introductory offer again after X amount of days? If so, put the days after inactivity. Leave empty if the offer cannot be redeemed again.

  4. Once you have filled in the rest of the membership information, please press Save and your free trial is LIVE!

How can I tell if a client is on a Trial Period?

You can see a list of all clients who have redeemed an introductory offer in your Free Trials Reports.
