This article goes through the steps to set up your QR reader.
Most QR readers should work. We recommend this one.

Note: The Recess Dashboard must be open and visible for the reader to work. If you navigate to another tab or window, the reader will not be able to check someone in.
Step 1 - Enabling the check in Settings
Plug in your reader to the computer you will be using
Open up your Recess dashboard page
Go to Tools > Check In
Scroll to the bottom and check all 3 boxes
Scroll up and click "Save"
Step 2 - Configuring the QR Reader
Scan the On code
Scan the USA language code
Scan the Buzzer On Code
Choose the Sound Level
Step 3 - Viewing Check ins
Click the "QR" button in the top right-hand corner (this button will appear on every page, you can use the dashboard while it scans people in)
A red icon means an invalid check-in, and a green icon means a valid check-in
Note: If you are a multi-location facility, make sure you have toggle to the right location in the top left-hand corner
Click the button to view the check-in history
