These features are designed to help you stay connected with your clients efficiently and professionally. Here's a straightforward guide on what we offer, why it benefits your business, and how to get started.


What We Offer

  1. Local Numbers
    Get a Recess number with a local area code (e.g., 650-XXX-XXXX) to connect with clients via Messaging in your Recess dashboard through the Communication Center.

  2. Call Forwarding
    Forward calls from your new Recess number to an existing physical phone seamlessly, ensuring no missed calls.

  3. Phone Number Transfers
    Transfer your existing phone number from current studio management system to Twilio while maintaining service continuity.

Getting Started

To begin using Recess SMS and calling features, follow these simple steps:

  1. Fill Out the SMS Verification Form
    All numbers require verification to comply with regulations. Submit the form to initiate the process. Link to the Form.

  2. Confirm Website Compliance
    In order to be approved for a new phone number, your website must include a Privacy Policy. If your DBA, this must be listed in the privacy policy. Email us for support on setting up your privacy policy if need be.

  3. Email Support
    Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "SMS Setup: [Your Studio Name]" and include the following details:

    • Local Numbers: Provide your preferred area code.

    • Call Forwarding: Specify the existing phone number to forward Recess calls to and the current provider.

    • Phone Number Transfers: Include proof of ownership and details of the number to be transferred from your current studio management platform.

  4. Timelines for Setup

    • Local Numbers: Certification and setup can take 2-3 weeks.

    • Call Forwarding: Configured within 1 week.

    • Phone Number Transfers: May take up to 1 month, depending on your current provider.
