πŸ“§ How to Send Marketing Campaigns Using Your Verified Domain

Recess now offers an option to send marketing campaign emails from your own verified domain/business email instead of the default replytoinstructor@recess.tv. This guide will walk you through the process of verifying your domain and sending emails using it. βœ…

Step 1: Contact Recess Support πŸ“¨

  1. Please email us at support@recess.tv if you are wanting us to enable this feature flag for you.

Step 2: Access the Domain Verification Section πŸ› οΈ

  • Log in to your Recess TV dashboard.
  • On the left-hand side menu, locate and click Tools.
  • Within Tools, click on APIs.
  • On the API page, locate the section titled Email Domain Verification Integration.

Step 3: Enter Your Domain 🌐

  • In the Domain to Verify field, enter the domain you wish to use for sending emails (e.g., yourcompany.com).
  • Click the Generate DNS Instructions button.

The system will automatically generate three DNS records that need to be added to your domain provider to complete verification. πŸ“

Step 4: Add DNS Records with Your Domain Provider πŸ”§

  1. Log in to your domain provider account (common providers include GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, AWS, etc.).

Step 5: Complete Verification βœ…

  • Return to the Recess TV dashboard.
  • Click the checkbox to confirm that the DNS records have been added.
  • The verification process may take around 15 minutes to begin ⏳.

Check the verification status:

  • Pending: The system is still processing.
  • Completed: Your domain is now verified

Step 6: Use Your Verified Domain in Marketing Campaigns πŸ“¬

  1. Navigate to Growth Suite > Marketing Campaigns.
  2. When creating a new campaign, you will now see an option to select your verified domain as the sender email.
  3. If no domains are verified, emails will continue to be sent from the default replytoinstructor@recess.tv.

πŸ“ Notes

  • This feature is optional. If you do not verify a domain, your emails will continue to use the default sending address.

  • Verified domains improve brand recognition and email deliverability.

  • You will also have an option to select the Sender Domain from the β€œSend email” node inside the Sequence flow.
