How to Change a Staff Member's Role

Follow the steps below to update the role assigned to any staff member. Changing a role will immediately update their permissions within the system.


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to People

From the main navigation menu, select People.

  1. Navigate to Staff

Within the People section, click on the Staff tab to view your list of staff members.

  1. Find the staff member

Locate the staff member whose role you want to change. You can scroll through the list or use the search bar to find them quickly.

💡 Tip: Use the search bar at the top of the Staff list to find a specific person faster.


  1. Click the three-dot menu (â‹®)

On the staff member's row, click the three-dot menu icon (â‹®) to open their available options.

  1. Select "Edit Staff"

From the dropdown menu, choose Edit Staff. This will open the staff member's edit panel.

6. Select the new role from the dropdown

Click the role dropdown and select the role you would like to assign to this staff member. If you have more than one location, select what role you want them to have from each location

  1. Click Save

Click Save to confirm the role change. The staff member's permissions will be updated immediately.

Expected Result

✅ Once saved, the staff member's role will be updated and their new permissions will take effect right away. Their updated role will be reflected in the Staff list.

•  Confirm that you have admin-level permissions to manage staff roles.

•  Refresh the page and try again.
