Pausing Memberships

This article covers how to pause and resume a membership. This feature must be requested to be turned on for your account.

  • Navigate to the client whose membership you want to pause.
  • Click the three dots next to the membership.

  • A pop-up box will appear.
  • Look for Pause Subscription and click on it

Choose when you want the membership to be paused and when you want it to become active again:

  • Start = the first day of the pause
  • End = the day the pause is lifted

Example:

  • The membership originally runs from 2/1 to 4/1 and is set to renew on 4/1.
  • The membership is active from 2/1 to 3/19.
  • The membership is paused from 3/19 to 4/27.
  • The membership becomes active again from 4/27 to 5/10, at which point it will either renew or expire (if the membership is set to renew, it will renew).

Notes:

  • The pause honors the total number of days in the membership. For example, if there are 5 days remaining and the membership is paused for 6 months, once the pause ends, there will still be 5 days left before the membership renews or expires.
  • You must pause a membership at least one day before it expires. For example, if a membership expires on 10/17, the pause must start on 10/16 or earlier.
  • The membership will be split into two rows showing the paused period and the renewal period. The membership will remain active until the pause begins.

How to resume a paused membership

  1. Navigate to the client whose membership is on pause.

  2. Find the paused membership in the "Past" tab under Packages and click the 3 dots next to it.

  3. Click on "Pause subscription" and adjust the End date.
