📋 Attendance Dashboard Overview

Why Use the Attendance Dashboard?

Manually tracking who’s attending enough classes; especially across different definitions of “on track”; is time-consuming. The Attendance Dashboard solves this by:

  • Allowing custom rules for what counts as "on track"

  • Displaying attendance status clearly on the main dashboard

  • Supporting staff with tools to follow up and take action

Step 1: Enable the Dashboard

To access the Attendance Dashboard, it first needs to be enabled and configured in your settings. Follow the steps below or watch this Attendance Dashboard Setup - Recess Tv showing the steps to enable it:

  • Log into your account
Use your administrator or staff login credentials.

Go to your Profile
Click on Tools > Profile from the left navigation menu.

  • Select “Settings”

From the menu, click on Settings.

  • If the attendance is not activated yet, an admin user can locate the option in the section “Explore Features” and toggle on Attendance.

  • Once enabled, Navigate to Attendance Dashboard from the same tab. In the settings menu, look for the Attendance Dashboard section and set up your preferences, including if it will be visible in your main Dashboard:

🎯 Step 2: Define Attendance Rules

Set your custom attendance rules under the following statuses:

  • Green – Client has attended between 6 and 999 classes in the last 14 days.

  • Yellow – Client has attended between 4 and 5 classes in the last 14 days.

  • Orange – Client has attended between 2 and 3 classes in the last 14 days.

  • Red – Client has attended between 0 and 1 classes in the last 14 days.

Each status must be mutually exclusive; for example following the previous setup, if the client reaches 6 classes, they are in Green rank, so the yellow rank must not be more than 5 classes.

📈 Advantages of Using the Attendance Dashboard
