If you are reading this, then we are sad 😒. Recess exists to serve you, the gym owner, studio owner, or independent instructor. We feel we have the best platform in the world that innovates faster than anyone else and has a support team that is miles better than our competition. Naturally we believe all of these things, otherwise, we wouldn't be doing what we are doing!

Even though we believe in Recess, sometimes businesses decide to off-board. Unlike our competition, we make this process easy, fast, and simple.

Please be mindful that if you go somewhere else and do not like it, most platforms make it VERY HARD to leave, and even charge you hundreds or thousands of dollars! 😱

Off-boarding Process

  1. We need a 30 calendar day notice. Email support if you need to offboard sooner and we will try to accommodate you.

  2. Fill out the Off-boarding Form

  3. Your Data Download - it's all in your dashboard!

    • Clients - you can download all clients from the client report

    • Memberships/Packages - Go to the Active report to get expiration details and # of credits left

    • Videos - all links to download and migrate are in the VOD report

  4. Credit Card Data - it depends on where you are going. Depending on who your new payment processor is, it can take anywhere from 3 days to 45 days. This is outside of Recess' control.

    1. Email [email protected] to initiate the credit card data migration

      1. If you are going to Stripe

        • Very easy process that can be done in 72 hours

      2. If you are going to another processor, e.g., MBO, Celero, Authorize.net, Adyen, etc.

        • We will initiate the request with Stripe

        • You must initiate the request with your new payment processor

        • Your new payment processor will share details on what is needed. Most have worked with Stripe, so they should have Stripe's PCI on file. In which case, they will give you encrypted SFTP credentials for Stripe to upload the credit card data.

        • Stripe requests 5-7 business days after receiving the required instructions to send the data. So the faster you can get the instructions, the faster the process will be completed.

  5. Disputes after you off-board

    1. We will need to get a credit card from you in the event we incur any disputes after you migrate.
