Events are similar yet different to classes. The Event feature lets you create a single Event that is separate and differentiated from a class or a series of events like Teacher Training. A nice aspect of Events is you can choose to include or exclude them from your class schedule.
Note: Please email [email protected] to make the events tab viewable in your app. We recommend doing this after you have created your first event so that the tab is not empty.
Org Settings
You'll first need to enable Events on your dashboard. Go to Tools > Profile > and toggle on Events
Choose how you want customers to see Events in the app
Filter events per category in the client view. This will show them each of your event categories. By clicking a category they will see a calendar view only for that category
Show events in your class schedule as well. When a customer clicks the Schedule tab they will see all events on the schedule and cannot filter by category.
Creating an Event
Go to Events under Schedule & Programming
Click the yellow "+" button on the top of the page
Name the series or event
Choose if the series has to be purchased all together or you can purchase individual events in the series separately
Note: If you are a multi-location business that restrict customers to a home location, make sure to toggle on "Events can be purchased in any location"
Enter the Basic info. This will be used when creating each event in the series
Event Category
Similar to Class and Appointment categories, this is a unique set of categories you can create specifically for events
Categories can be shown to customers when booking events to help them choose from different types of events
Categories are also used for packages and memberships. Similar to classes, you can create a package that can be used for All or Specific event categories. Article on How to create Membership and Packages.
Make sure to add any optional info, like equipment needs
Add a picture for the event
Additional options like late fees, no-show fees, Classpass, and Wellhub are available.
Once that above information is entered, you can create 1 or multiple events in the series (note: even if creating a single event, you'll still use this form)
Choose an option
Use a recurrence pattern = event occurs every week on the same day and time. When using a pattern, have the end day be 1 day after the last day of the event
Setup individually = a single event or similar events that occur on different days and times
Click "Save"
Editing Events
You can edit any individual event in a series by clicking the 3 dots
You can add Events to your website just like classes and packages by embedding an iFrame. Article on iFrames
