In this article we will cover:

There are two ways to archive a package:

1. Direct Archive- Go to your Products & Services tab > Subscriptions & Packages > locate the package > Scroll to the 3 dots to the right and hit "Archive"

  • All clients will continue to renew on that package unless they cancel

  • The package can be found in your Products & Services tab > Subscriptions & Packages > Archive tab and will no longer surface in your POS shopping cart.

2. Archive by creating a new version:

When you need to edit a package or subscription there are some fields that are editable such as name, description, image (cosmetic things), but the foundational elements such as the price and what is included cannot be changed without making a new version.

When you make a new version of a package, it will duplicate the current version and allow you to edit all fields. All clients that are on the original version will remain there until their next renewal. When they renew, they will be transferred onto the new version of that package.

Here is an example of 2 different scenarios:

1. Raise Rates for Everyone- You want to raise your Monthly Unlimited pricing by $10 and everyone will automatically be on the new rate. Edit the package, create a new version, change the price, save. At each member's next renewal date, they will be transferred onto the new version and pay $10 more.

2. Grandfather in Members, Raise Rates for New Clients- You want to raise your Monthly Unlimited pricing by $10 but your current members will stay at their rate and all new members will be on the higher price point. Do not edit the package to make a new version. Instead, edit the title of that package to Something like "[Old] Monthly Unlimited" and archive it. All clients will continue to renew on that version at that price point. Next, start fresh by going to Products & Services tab > Subscriptions & Packages > yellow "+" to create, make a new Monthly Unlimited package at the higher price point. All new clients will be sold into that package.

Making a package Inactive

To make a package inactive go to Products & Services tab > Subscriptions & Packages > locate the package > Click on the package title to open it > Click on the pencil top right to edit > Toggle off 'Publish' to unpublish the package.

Making a package inactive will no longer allow it to be sold and clients will not renew on that package. This is your best option if you no longer want the package to exist.
