🔗 Step 2: Connect Your Facebook Page
Go to your Dashboard and navigate to API Settings.
Scroll to the Facebook Page Integration section.
Click the "Connect to Facebook" blue button.
4. Log in with your Facebook credentials.
5. Select which Facebook Pages Recess should access:
Select a specific existing page manually.
6. Review Recess' access request permissions and click Save.
7. Once connected, return to the API Settings and click "Save Page Selection".
📋 Step 3: Create a Lead Gen Form
From the dashboard's left-hand menu, select Lead Gen Forms.
Click the yellow "Create New Form" button.
Fill in the required details:
Form Name
Category
Add a Description to the Lead Gen form (optional). You can use the “Open Editor” button to edit what the User will see.
Add or edit the questions you'd like included
Ensure each question has the correct response type selected. Note: The multiple selection type is not fully supported by Facebook so this might look a bit weird on the FB side.
Select the appropriate option to the question “What happens after client submit?” and use the Editor if needed.
Scroll to the bottom and find the Facebook Visibility section.
Turn on the toggle for “Create this lead form on your connected Facebook Page.”
8. Click Save on the top right hand corner to publish the form.
🔍 Step 4: Preview and Test the Form
After saving, view the form on Facebook by clicking the "View in Business Facebook" link under the Facebook Form ID.
This will take you to Facebook Business Suite, where you can preview how the form appears to users.
Under the Lead Ads Forms Page, click on the new Lead Gen Form you have created. A new window will open where it will form the Form Preview.
🧪 Step 5: Test Lead Sync with Facebook
Go to the Lead Ads Testing Tool on Facebook on this link:
http://developers.facebook.com/tools/lead-ads-testingSelect your connected page and corresponding form.
Use the “Create Lead” option to simulate a submission.
Go back to your Meta Business Suite and confirm the lead count has increased.
In your Recess Dashboard, return to the Lead Gen Forms section and verify the test lead appears under New Leads.
Once these steps are complete, your Facebook form is live and fully synced with Recess — ready to start capturing leads automatically. Any forms connected with Facebook will have the Facebook icon on the form and leads.
