How to Create a Class
There are 4 types of classes that you can create through your Dashboard:
- Live
- In-Person
- On-Demand
All class creation takes place in the dashboard, where you’ll find the tools and settings needed to set up each type.
To create a class, go to the menu bar on the left-hand side of your dashboard and hover over Schedule & Programming. Select one of the class types, or navigate directly to the calendar view. Then, click + Create New Class in the upper-right corner of the page and fill out the class details as needed.

How to Create a Live Class
To create a live class, go to the menu bar on the left-hand side of the screen and hover over Schedule & Programming
And select Virtual (Live).
Now you're on your Virtual classes page! Once you are here, press + Create New Class in the upper-righthand corner of the page.
Here you can input all of your class information. Additionally, you will need:
Select if you'd like to have the class recur. (Daily, weekly, or weekdays)
Class size: This will limit the number of class participants
When selecting price you have the options below:
Paid class
Drop-in price for non-members, members on Live packages are not charged
Paid class (excl. packages)
Anyone who signs up for the class must pay, Live packages must pay
Free class with donations
Clients have the option to join for free or donate
Free class
If using zoom, you can select if you'd like your class to auto record and upload.
Next, we have the More details section:
Please fill out any equipment needed and if using the playground, any workout cards you'd like on your class.
You can also select when you'd like the class to publish at. By using this, the class will be hidden on your page until the date you select.
Next please select any packages you would like auto-enrolled into the class. Clients in these packages will be automatically signed up for class and will receive an email with the class link:
Now it's time to add some class photos! You are able to select any previous class photos or trailers OR upload new.
Last (if using zoom) select the payment amount you would like for when your on-demand posts.
Press Create and you're done!
How to Create In-Person Classes
To create a live class, go to the menu bar on the left-hand side of the screen and hover over Schedule & Programming
And select In-Person.
Now you're on your In-Person. classes page! Once you are here, press + Create New Class in the upper-righthand corner of the page.
Here you can input all of your class information. Additionally, you will need:
Select if you'd like to have the class recur. (Daily, weekly, or weekdays)
Class size: This will limit the number of class participants
Class Location
If you'd like to create a linked Virtual class, please press the check box below the location
When selecting price you have the options below:

How To Create On-Demand Classes
You can create on-demand content in two ways:
Recording a class: During a live class on Recess, record the class inside of the Playground or auto-record and upload with Zoom.
Upload a class: Upload any video file you have of a class.
To upload the on-demand class, please go to your VOD - Video on Demand tab. (Classes -> VOD- Video On Demand)
To upload a class, please select + Create New Class in the upper right-hand corner of the VOD page.
Once you press + create a new class, you are brought to a pop-up where you can add the class details.
The details of the on-demand class can be set including cost, a publication date, unpublishing date, and expiration date. The great thing about the publish and unpublish feature is that it allows you to control when your clients can buy the on-demand class. Although these fields are optional, they may save you the trouble of remembering when to remove the class from your page.
Once everything is filled out, press Next
Here you can add any equipment needed and tag the video so it shows up in the correct class category on your on-demand page.
Press Next
Here you can select the video you'd like to upload, use a thumbnail that is saved or upload a new one, and upload an optional class trailer.
Once you complete this, please press Create and wait until your video is uploaded!
